About RSS
RSS or Really Simple Syndication refers to web feed formats used to publish digital content on a regular basis.
RSS formats are specified in XML. RSS delivers information as an XML file called an "RSS feed," "webfeed," "RSS stream," or "RSS channel".
To use RSS content, you will need a program or web service called a feed "reader" or "aggregator" and then you will subscribe to the feeds you would like to receive by supplying the feed reader with a link to the feed. Once subscribed, you need only to check your reader to see if new content has been posted from your subscriptions.
Getting Started with RSS
First things first, you'll need an RSS reader. Some popular free choices are: MyYahoo Google newsgator
Once you have one set up, you may start adding news feed location addresses from sites that provide them. The reader will have instructions to help you do this.
